Teenage girls across America flock to see New Moon at midnight - and set a new box office record



New Moon - the latest film from the Twilight series - has set a new box office record by earning a gigantic £16.42 million overnight in the U.S. and Canada alone.

Debuting at on Thursday night, the movie took more than the previous record for midnight takings set by Harry Potter and The Half-Blood Prince, which only took £13.75 million.

Pixie Lott, Rupert Everett, Alan Carr and James Corden, Kelly Brook and Geri Halliwell all headed down to the elite London night spot, Jalouse, to help Mariah celebrate the launch of her album, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel (actually we're quite surprised she included the Imperfect bit).

The UK's entire stock of Mariah's £850-a-throw bubbly, Angel, was on hand to keep the celebs amused.

According to the New York Daily News, Floyd growled and lunged at poor Lisa, before head-butting (yes, head-butting) her leg, resulting in a fall that injured her back.
