Strictly Come Dancing star Rachel Stevens was mugged for her engagement ring on her own doorstep yesterday. Three thieves ambushed Rachel as she was entering her £800,000 flat in North London.
The muggers left the former S Club 7 star badly shaken after demanding she handover her engagement ring and other jewellery.
The Sun report the robbers shouted: "Give us the f***ing stuff!", before taking the ring, a necklace and a Rolex watch, all worth tens of thousands of pounds.
The attack took place in broad daylight as Rachel returned from a shopping trip. Police are unsure if the gang had been following the star during the trip.
The gang fled in a car before Rachel called 999. It is not known if her fiance, Alex Bourne, was at home at the time.
Rachel's spokeswoman confirmed there had been an attack, saying: "Rachel did experience an intrusion and is shaken but otherwise OK."

I really do not know why we have to pay a Licence Fee! What a con!
Meanwhile, I send my best wishes to Rachel. What a dreadful society we live in!

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt, mug and cap! Have been mugged twice (I survived with my life so always count my blessings!), my daughter has been violently sexually assualted at 10 years old (thankfully therapy helped her deal with it) and my step-father was killed in a hit and run 4 years ago. But hey, LIFE GOES ON. So dear Stu, please save your 'I wish something bad would happen to you' for others who most need it. Maybe you could send Rachel-who is she-Stevens some 'get well soon wishes' eh??? Poor lamb must be quivering in her bedroom from the SHOCK of it all! Bless her little cotton socks (and your cotton socks too Stu!)

People get mugged all over London, up and down the country EVERY SINGLE DAY. What makes Rachel -who is she - Stevens so special????
Just another pathetic 'celebrity' with no discernible talent to speak of - that's who she is. She's a NOBODY.
Oh so sad that she had her stuff stolen. But what does she expect? Walking around in London with thousands of pounds dripping from her neck, arms and fingers when there is a recession on, looking for all the world to see like the 'perfect target' for desperate people.
She only has herself to blame. Hopefully she will LEARN something from this unfortunate, but very common incident. Do not wear expensive jewels out on the street if you don't want to lose it or get it stolen. Tough luck.

To be honest, Rachel Stevens may only be a celebrity but stealing is stealing = F.A.C.T.
Why should these people be excused just because they chose to steal from Rachel Stevens? What about if they were excused and alowed to get away with this just because of Rachel's celebrity status and the theives decided to go and rob you next??? Did you ever think about that, no didnt think so. Elana, if these thieves thought nothing of stealing from a celebrity and risking being caught up in all of the media press, then why would they think twice about stealing from somebody else, whoever they are. The next person they steal from could be you, your friend or even ya own mother or grandmother yet you think thats ok coz they stole from "rachel stevens"???? It is neither here nor there whether it is Rachel Stevens or not who was their victim then & good on her for getting publictiy to try to catch them to make sure they dont do it again....

SHE SHOULD SELL HER 800K FLAT AND USE THE MONEY TO REPLACE HER PRECIOUS JEWELS. Better still she should appear on GMTV 'AGAIN' tomorrow and charge them for her appearance (and use the money to buy another ROLEX). She was on the show this morning after her 'terrible' experience TALKING VERY LOUDLY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO HER. Was she seeking free publicity, seeking sympathy, milking the situation for all its worth????? God only knows, but she looked very well and in good health to me. Not at all like someone who had been mugged and was TRAUMATISED BY THE EXPERIENCE. So do not tell me that she did not ask for sympathy or for publicity because Rachel -who on earth IS she- Stevens was CHATTING about the incident on GMTV this morning - with no hair out of place, wearing a fancy frock and with a fully made up face of make-up. Quite a pretty picture indeed!
Good to see that she has quickly RECOVERED from her ORDEAL.

These so-called celebs are a law unto themselves. Of course noone deserves to be mugged but going on GMTV and talking about it just to get publicity is disgraceful. My father (65) was mugged last year and it took the police 5 hours to come to our house to take a statement. Then they said they wouldnt be able to investigate because there were no witnesses. How unfair is that? My father has heart problems and is not fit and healthy like Lady Stevens. Also he is not 'famous' and is not a 'celeb' so he wasn't able to publicise what had happened to him. He also lives alone in a 1 bedroom flat which he owns and has paid off after working 40 years for London Underground. He was not entering a 800k flat and wearing priceless jewels. He was carrying a bottle of milk and a sunday paper and had £12.45p on him when they stole his wallet.
So Lady Muck Stevens should count herself lucky that she has her life and was well enough to go blabbng about it on the TV earlier today.
