Lindsay Lohan is to be quizzed by police after diamond jewellery she wore at a photoshoot went missing.

Lohan wore the Christian Dior earrings and necklace, worth £250,000, at a photoshoot for Elle magazine in London recently.

Police were called two days after the shoot when magazine staff realised the bling had disappeared.

According to The Sun, a dozen staff at Elle could also face questioning over the disappearance of the jewels.

Bosses at fashion house Dior are said to be livid.

A source said: "Jewellery is often loaned out for big celebrities to wear on fashion shoots. Police are working out who had them when they went missing. People at Dior are very upset. It's an embarrassment to the mag."

Actress Lindsay flew back to Los Angeles shortly after the photoshoot.

A police spokesman said: "There have been no arrests at this stage. We will speak to a number of people in connection with the inquiry."
