A woman auditioning for the new series of The X Factor is reported to have threatened to commit suicide after the judges turned her down. The Daily Mail says that the incident happened on the second day of auditions at London's Excel centre - while the woman was being interviewed after getting four 'no' votes.
Staff called an emergency doctor kept on standby as, according to the newspaper, the woman in her 50s began sobbing and screaming.
A witness was quoted as saying: "She ran off, shouting that she was going to commit suicide. The producers ran after her. An hour and a half later they were still making sure she was OK.'"
She is claimed to have been seen again by the doctor two days later, and deemed to be safe and healthy.
The drama comes just weeks after criticism was levelled at Britain's Got Talent bosses following Susan Boyle's breakdown after the show's final.
A source was quoted as saying that the woman had only been allowed to audition for The X Factor because the producers thought she was funny rather than talented, and the show now has an audience of around 2,000 watching the auditions.
Relive Susan Boyle's journey from obscurity to global fame on Britian's Got Talent...

I loved these two programme really good entertainment...people who enter know what to expect from the judges and thet should accept what you say or stay away. I hope Simon you continue to do these shows..although I would not blame you if you throw your hands in the air and tell them where to go..I am a fan of yours..you speak the truth and know what you are doing Leona Lewis and Ray Flynn are fine examples of true talent Long may you reign
