A visit from the mother-in-law is, for most folks, a bit of a strain. But there are no such problems in the Williams household... Robbie's moving his in.

According to The Sun the singer has become so attached to girlfriend Ayda Field's mum, he is preparing to move them both in to his whopping new £8.5 million home near Swindon.

As Robbie ups the UK public appearances in the build-up to his comeback single, he's keen to have American girlfriend Ayda with him in the UK and mum Gwen is set stay for months at a time.

Apparently the Angels singer has got close to Gwen due to their shared love of playing poker.

A friend of the star said: "Robbie has really hit it off with Ayda's mum. One of his hobbies is playing poker with a small group of pals including his mate Jonathan Wilkes.

"Gwen has joined in a few times, and on a couple of occasions Robbie and Gwen have carried on playing into the wee small hours after everyone else went to bed."

Hmm... we're sure Ayda will enjoy having her mum around, but as cosy nights in go, we're not certain that it's ideal.

Robbie is no doubt hoping his new musical offering will revive his flagging career. But will he be as successful as these comeback kings...
