You think Britain's Got Talent? Check out the Ukrainian winner...

You might have thought Susan Boyle vs Diversity was a veritable clash of the titans in TV talent show terms, but the winner of Ukraine's Got Talent makes both of them look like lightweights.

Kseniya Simonova's heart-wrenching sand painting set to music provoked tears of emotion as it depicted the invasion of Ukraine by Germany in World War Two - showing peaceful scenes engulfed by death and destruction and ending with the message "you are always near".

She's rumoured to be coming to Britain soon, but check out the amazing video right now...

I have just witnessed a brand new kind of entertainment. It was breath-takingly touching. Watching this genius artist painted a life on sand for less than 10 minutes is incredibly heart moving.

Probably one of the best things i have ever seen. It takes a lot to bring a tear to my eyes and that certainly did. Anybody know how old she is? she only looks like a teenager. we got nothing in way of talent that gets anywhere near her. if it was the worlds got talent KSENIYA WINS. GOOD LUCK TO HER.

Amazing talent indeed. What the author did not mention is the fact that the girl is Russian (she's got Russian surname) and uses Russian songs in this clip, and it is to do with invasion of Russia (or USSR at that time)

The music from 6.30 onwards is not Russian. It is 'Nothing else matters' by Metallica.

Actually a lot of people, who were born in Ukraine, have Russian last names (for instance i have Russian last name but was born in Ukraine); and Kseniya is using songs of USSR authors, who mostly wrote songs in Russian during that period of time. She is using very emotional and tragic songs, connected with World War II. GREAT JOB!!!

Without wanting to belittle her talent, because it is impressive, it's actually not all that original. There are many artists that have been doing this for years (and actually more impressively, if less melodramatic) but as with most things only takes one little viral to bring it to the attention of the masses.

She makes it look so easy, yet we all know that this must be a very rare skill. Its her speed and the fluid transitions which are so remarkable.
I guess there must be other sand artists out there, and I'd love to see them.
