Brian McFadden may have travelled across the world to see his daughters, but according to friends of the Irish warbler, ex-wife Kerry has banned him from seeing his girls.

McFadden flew in from Australia last week amid concerns for his daughters' safety following Katona's recent troubles.

According to the Mirror, Brian planned to spend the weekend with Molly and Lilly-sue, but friends say that Kerry suddenly began ignoring his calls.

A source told the paper: "Brian has been extremely worried about his daughters but he wanted to wait for the dust to settle a little before flying in to see Molly and Lilly-Sue. He is desperate to find out if they are OK after everything that's happened."

Though the pair have not spoken for four years following an acrimonious split, a spokesman for Kerry last night insisted that Brian had not asked to see the girls at the weekend and insisted: "Kerry has not banned Brian from seeing his kids."

McFadden did, however, find time to appear on Ireland's Late Late Show to explain his concerns and made clear that he would not be uprooting the children should he be awarded custody.

"I want Kerry to give me the kids and me and my mum will look after them for the next six months to a year to give her time to get her life together," he said.

Brian also confessed that he would not be able to afford a custody battle.
