But apparently the version of Katie that we've been seeing on her whirlwind book promotion tour is the carefree Katie.

And it's all down to the cage-fighting Alex Reid.

Speaking to DJ Charlie Hedges on The Kiss 100 Breakfast Show yesterday, Katie explained: "I chose him. I went for him, I mean, obviously he's not going to refuse me.

"He's actually calmed me because he's into Greek mythology and he's a good person. I've got no grudges against anyone any more."

Um... firstly, what's Greek mythology got to do with it (we thought it was all vengeance and wars and stuff) and secondly, no grudges?... we're guessing there are probably a fair few people who would dispute that.

Katie continued to bleat about Alex, saying: "Anyone who goes out with me is going to get picked on, and unfortunately that's part of what happens – I would like to say keep him in the background, but it's really hard when someone goes out with me."

It IS hard to keep in the background... particularly when you make him dress up in drag for your latest publicity stunt.

But still, the good news is that there's another autobiography on the way as expected and she's hinting at more dirt-dishing surrounding her former manager Claire Powell.

Speaking about her fall out with the management company, Katie said: "I terminated it. The way they put it is that they dropped me, but that's why I can't wait for my book to come out, because the truth will finally come out."

Calm with no grudges, that's Katie.
