As if she hadn't learnt her lesson from previous disastrous attempts to make in the movie business, Madonna is ploughing ahead with her latest movie plans. And we're not sure that a helping hand from Guy Ritchie will help much either, but still.
Madge has already written the movie about Wallis Simpson and Edward VIII (cunningly called W.E.) with Alek Keshishian but she's hit something of a rocky patch when it comes to casting.
Apparently, despite wining and dining David Tennant, his 'people' have reportedly rubbished the claims that he will be appearing and various thespy agents have been seeking reassurances that Madge definitely won't be 'acting' at any point during the film.
A source told the Daily Mail: "She would have said if she was to be in it. It's a game-changer. Some find it difficult to act opposite her. Ask Rupert Everett."
Well quite.
Still, ex-hubby Guy Ritchie has already cast his discerning eye over the screenplay and suggested Madonna contact the likes of Mark Strong and Toby Kebbell, who both starred in his RocknRolla.
Judging by the success of RocknRolla, we'd give them a wide berth if we were you Madge.
Musicians are always making bad decisions when it comes to acting. Still, at least a cameo is a short-lived affair...
