Cheryl lays into 'rude and nasty' Simon

Simon Cowell is used to being the man with the harsh-but-true lines but this time he's on the receiving end as Cheryl Cole laid into her X Factor rival.

And it seems the hostility between the judges isn't all for show. Cheryl told the BBC: "There is tension between us on the actual Saturday night, when he starts getting annoying and saying nasty things.

"It gets quite heated backstage, and quite competitive. I don't feel like I'm a competitive person.

"I feel like the best person should win The X Factor, whether they're in my category or not.

"But he's so competitive and so rude sometimes that I find myself getting caught up in it."

We're guessing that's his cunning plan, Cheryl.

Simon has given Cheryl a bit of a rocky time on this year's live shows, reducing her to tears over her song choices for Lloyd Daniels and Rikki Loney two weeks ago and Cheryl announced on this week's show that she "couldn't stand Simon's smugness anymore".

And the Geordie lass owned up to having clenched fists on occasions. She confirmed what we've known all along: "Honestly, he's really annoying. Really annoying."

Love him or hate him, there's no denying that Simon Cowell is one of best when it comes to the top reality show judges...

What are you talking about Josephine? Are you unable to read like you are unable to use punctuation? She only said that she is finding Simon annoying (which he is lol). Plus, I thought it was quite humble of her to say the best person should win (even if they weren't in her category) because most judges get a bit caught up over their own acts rather than who has the most talent.

For God sake Cheryl does everything have to be the way you want it listen when you get into Simons league then moan you havent been round that long but by God do you love yourself Simon mite go on about things but at least he knows what he is talking about DO YOU and no im not a little dizzy blonde who thinks Simon is yum yum im a 74 yr old pensioner and YES i Know what im talking about if you cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen

If you can't stand the heat Cheryl,get out,all you have done this series is moan.You get paid enough,can't understand why you are a judge,what experiance do you have?A few years in agirl band! you have lost your enthusiasm this series,I have seen a differnt side to you this year. Listen to Simon,he knows what he's talking about,learn from the best.

I have always thought of you as lovely Cheryl but Simon does know his stuff!! I can't understand how you can call him nasty when you have never looked one of his boys in the eye or had anything to say in your usual sympathetic voice when he has been reduced to tears the past couple of weeks. I have'nt read newspapers so I am judgeing him one what I see but you have one major problem with him!!! You know who I am referring to so give him some slack just like you did your dress!!!
