But their excitement may have turned to disappointment when they realised that it was just Nicola Roberts from Girls Aloud.

We've been most impressed recently with Nicola Roberts. She's accepted her pale skin and her red hair and she's been making the most of it at celebrity bashes all over the place.

Burnt orange works for many people, but this 70s inspired retro tweed suit seemed to blend perfectly with her hair colour and the red shoes and nails did nothing to help Nicola carry off the look... even her classic Chanel handbag couldn't salvage the situation.

Nicola recently told Grazia magazine: "Everything I wear, I wear because I love it."

Which is great... but perhaps invest in a mirror next time, or at the very least make sure you in no way resemble a character from Roald Dahl.
