Just when we thought Peaches Geldof was a vacuous waste of space, she has to go and prove us wrong... sort of.In an interview with Fearne Cotton for ITV2 Peaches insists that she's really into all kinds of science and stuff, saying: "You know what I'm intrigued by? Stephen Hawking's theories and Richard Dawkins' theory. That's what I care about."
Which is odd because we thought she was only interested in where the next celebrity party and free booze was coming from.
She added: "I want to talk about the Hadron Collider. I've always been really interested in quantum theories and how we came to be and why.
"That's how, I guess, I got involved in spirituality and the religious path I chose to go down."
And which religious path is that, Fearne asks. "I don't want to talk about that," Peaches snaps.
Shortly afterwards, Peaches DOES want to talk about it. Apparently she's now a scientologist. "I've been one for a while now. It's like, I was confused about what path to go through and I feel like I needed a spiritual path and I was looking at different things.
"I felt I was lacking something when I didn't have a faith. In the end, all it's about is making yourself a better person."
True enough. Doesn't seem to have worked though Peaches. Throughout the documentary, When Fearne Met Peaches, the 20-year-old party girl falls asleep (in restaurants and taxis by the way) and whines about being "exhausted", even though she's a "huge slacker" and doesn't get up until 11am.
By the end of the show, DJ Fearne admits: "She hasn't got that base level of politeness of etiquette. If she want to fall asleep she does.
"If she doesn't want to do something, she won't. I kind of admire that."
We're guessing you're alone on that one Fearne.
After this interview, it's easy to see why Peaches tops our list of the most irritating celebrities...
