You may have forgotten all about Abi Titmuss. And those of you who do remember her probably thought she was just a glamour model/hussy/nurse.

Well think again. Abi, it seems, has been busy flaunting her, wait for it... acting abilities and has landed herself a plum role.

Okay, so it's the role of an evil, murderous, guilt-ridden crone, but still there are plenty of actresses who would relish the chance to play Lady Macbeth.

Abi is already working on a production of Up and Under in Hull and now she has been cast in the Shakespeare's Scottish play at the Seagull Theatre in Lowestoft.

Artistic director John Hales defended his decision to cast a glamour model in the role: "She is a really, really good actress and that was one of the main considerations as we needed a strong female lead.

"To those who have not seen her she will be a wonderful surprise. She brings depth and heart to it and she will move people."

The production will also tour theatres in Sudbury, Bungay, Halesworth and Norwich.

For those of you who are ready to be "surprised", Macbeth will open in Lowestoft on November 18.

Now that she's a serious actress, it might be best to mention Abi's scandalous celebrity sex tape (oops)...
