'Ant and Dec ruined my TV career' says Kelly

The air-headed but still annoyingly gorgeous Kelly Brook has revealed that, far from her apparent inability to string a sentence together ruining her TV career, it was in fact cheeky Geordie duo Ant and Dec.

According to Kelly, she inadvertently upset the pair during her short stint (six days to be precise) on Britain's Got Talent and they made their feelings known to TV bosses.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, 29-year-old Kelly said: "There was nothing I could do in this country after Britain's Got Talent. The people at ITV were telling me that I had upset Ant and Dec and that was it.

"I would love to have stayed on the show. I really felt it was working out. Ant and Dec had never been anything but pleasant to my face but, clearly, they didn't want me on the show."

Ant and Dec wrote in their autobiography that when Kelly turned up for her first day of filming, she asked them what they did on the show and that she had clearly not watched any of the previous programmes.

But Kelly tells a different story (sort of): "On the first day, there were loads of press photographers there and I was meeting everybody at the same time for the first time. I can't remember exactly what I said to Ant and Dec, but it was something like: 'What will you two be doing backstage on the show?'.

"Of course I knew what they did on the show. I'll admit that I hadn't spent every Saturday night at home watching BGT, but I had seen it."

Still, Mr Cowell was all for it. Kelly continued: "I have seen him since and he told me that if it had been down to him I would have still been on the show because he thought I was great."

We have a sneaking suspicion that was just because he didn't want to sit next to Amanda Holden.

Kelly is currently starring in Calendar Girls in the West End. Let's hope she doesn't suffer from any celebrity stage fright...

i remember kelly brook when she made a horrible comment on tv years ago, saying people with mental health problems should sort themselves out rather than see medical bodies, or it was words along those lines. i have a son with mental health difficulties and from that day i disliked her completely, i cannot say on here what i think of her!!!!

Sorry but this really made me laugh...thinking of little Ant & Dec as some kind of mafia bosses of ITV, lol....
Perhaps she ought to stop winging and think herself lucky that during this recession where most people are living hand to mouth and struggling to pay their bills, that at least she's still got a fair few bob in the bank to get by on, and lets face it, she'll continue to get by on her gorgeous looks, if not her talent!

What a lame excuse for being an airhead. What does anyone do backstage, have a peddling-n-cranking contest? She'd never seen the show before and should admit to it. Someone give her a brain cell and double her intelligence!!

i just rem her when she hosted an mtv show with ralph little, she was so full of herself, trying to make him look small (no pun intended lol).. all the time..saying he fancied her and hed no chance basically,

didnt like her then and doubt id like her now.. ant and dec are lovely and a joy to watch they have talent something she lacks in afraid

I had never even heard of Kelly Brook til she was on Strictly. I thought she was a boring airhead then and nothing's changed that view. Looks fade, but talent doesn't, so I wonder where she will be in ten years?

Ant & Dec more like Lilo & Stitch, they think they are BIG A list stars. They are nothing more than a couple of poison dwarfs. I had to do a nights driving work for these idiots on the pretense there was a full time job at the end of it. Well it turned out this was all a fantasy, bit like there so called talent. The way they carried on during the 7 hours in and out of there VW converted transit van was that of "look at me, do you know who I am, megastar" attitude. I have no doubt they would not think twice about ruining someones career. They are no more than a couple of talentless midgets who more by luck than talent have been able to con the viewing public and various TV companys for an over valued salary. Why do we the British public have to continuously find outselves being subjected to so-called celebrities who do not have any talent?
Kelly Brook is not the only one. In fact there are too many people who are branded celebraties and have an inability to provide good value entertainment.
If you can honestly make people believe that someone can become a celebrity just because someone said they are good looking, well there must be some hope for me yet!!

I agree absolutely with Anthony,the word celebrity is bandied about too readily.Kelly Brooke is NOT a celebrity,she has a nice figure and that`s about it,as for her statement that"Simon was all for it" means zilch,he gets carried away by his testosterone at times !!
