Last year's King of the Celebrity Jungle and one-time EastEnder Joe Swash has been declared bankrupt by London's High Court.

According to the Sun, 27-year-old Joe Swash failed to pay the final £20,000 instalment of a £120,000 tax bill and his bankrupt status was made official at the court yesterday.

From now on, Joe's assets will be in the charge of The Official Receiver.

His agent, Becca Barr, insists that it's all a big misunderstanding and it'll all be ok shortly.

She said last night: "Joe has not been around to sort this one out. The bankruptcy should never have gone through.
He's not in financial difficulty – he's fine. There was a tax issue which will be resolved imminently. Everyone has to pay tax and Joe knows he is no exception."

A source confirmed: "The bankruptcy is purely down to tax debts – there are no other creditors listed on the petition."

Joe's character Mickey Miller was axed from EastEnders last year, but since then he has gone on to win I'm A Celebrity and, more recently, has filmed a documentary with Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson.
