Since Lady Gaga appears to be the most bonkers celebrity on the block, it came as no surprise to find that the special edition of her new album would include a lock of her hair.

But there's disappointment for fans today, as Gaga reveals that it's not her real hair (which we're beginning to doubt even exists) but merely a bit of one of her many wigs.

The deluxe version of 'The Fame Monster' is set to include a jigsaw puzzle, posters, 3D glasses, fanzines and paper dolls as well as the hair.

According to Angry Ape, Gaga explained: "I have worn a lot of wigs over the years. I get to wear my real hair now because it is super-healthy – but I have worn a lot of wigs and I just said to they guys, 'Why don't you just give away locks of my hair?'"

Strictly, that's somebody else's hair you'll be getting, Gaga fans.

But will anybody really want it, that's the question.

Lady Gaga continued: "Some people are saying it is creepy – but they don't know my fans. My fans love my hair and they want my hair."

Say no more.
