Canadian pop star Celine Dion is believed to have suffered a miscarriage - after an announcement from her people that she is no longer pregnant.

She had revealed her pregnancy in August this year - but a new statement from her representative said: "While her and Rene are actively trying for a baby, she is not currently expecting."

There was much speculation after the initial pregnancy announcement that Celine was carrying an embryo that had been frozen in liquid nitrogen for the past several years.

The couple were known to have had embryos frozen while trying to conceive their first child, Rene-Charles.
