Kelly Osbourne has revealed that she suffered a torrent of abuse via Twitter after her mum's rude comments about Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle.

Sharon Osbourne dropped her daughter in it as well as herself when she said in a radio interview that SuBo looked like "a hairy a**e" and had been hit with "a f***ing ugly stick".

Writing in her column in Closer magazine, Kelly said: "Some people have directed nasty comments to me on Twitter, about what my mum said about Susan Boyle.

"She feels so bad about it. It was one of those situations where you open your mouth and before you even finish the sentence, you know you've said the wrong thing and gone too far.

"I don't know why people are giving me grief for it, what my mum says has nothing to do with me."

She also revealed that her mum's pet dog Mr Boo had died.

She said: "We've only had him a few weeks but I can't tell you how devastating it is to lose him so soon. He's seemed a bit sick since we got him, so at least he's not suffering any more."
