Something tells me we haven't seen the last of X Factor's gruesome twosome, John & Edward! X Factor's Creative Director, Brian Friedman revealed to me the 18-year-old twins will be the real winners and could rival the world-famous Jonas Brothers... if they weren't so camp!

'If Disney had found them then they'd be huge here and in America. The Jonas Brothers and acts like them are big, they're just done in a different way and I think if they weren't so camp and were groomed to be 'proper' popstars, they can do that [make it in America]'.

And Brian knows his stuff; he's Britney Spear's former choreographer and has directed videos for Pink, Fatboy Slim and appeared as a judge on top American show, 'So You Think You Can Dance'.

Brian was accused of favouring the twins throughout the show because their explosive performances were so spectacular each week compared to the other finalists. We were even fooled into thinking they can sing and dance, but Brian reassured me over a glass of mulled wine at Hyde Park's Winter Wonderland that they really do have true star quality.

'I get criticised every week but I really don't care, some people love it and others hate it. Simon doesn't like contemporary dance and Cheryl and Dannii do, you can't win over everyone,' says Brian. 'I like the twins because they're fearless, they don't get fazed by anything negative said about them and they have no inhibitions, Calvin Harris jumped on stage with them last week with a pineapple on his head and if that happened to some other artists they would call security or get lost and confused in their performance, whereas the twins just made it part of their act!'

And despite getting the boot this weekend when the judges saved Essex lad Olly Murs, Brian reckons the best is yet to come.

'There's something really admirable about John & Edward, they're performing like that in their first year but you can only imagine how pulled together they're going to be when they're grown.'

Sadly Brian wouldn't confirm if the new Prince and Princess of Essex, Stacey Solomon and Olly Murs, are dating.

'It's not true, not that I know! I'm the sort of person who comes to work, does my job and then leaves immediately after the show, there's no time for me to see the things that may or may not happen in the house.' That's still not answering my question though!

'When we're at work it's crazy, it's madness, we're running from one room to the next getting the live show together there's not much time to chill but I like that because it keeps business and personal lives separate.'

So who do you want to win X Factor now we've waved goodbye to Jedward? Let me know!
