Lady Gaga is reported to have splashed out $1,000 to have pizza delivered to fans who had been waiting at a signing session for her new album.

The pop star sent 80 cheese pizzas to a group of super-keen fans who had waited for hours outside a Best Buy store in Los Angeles, according to US gossip site TMZ.

She apparently ordered 40 pizzas from Papa John's at 3pm and another 40 at 6pm.

The star later posted on Twitter: "Sending all my little monsters little pizzas for waiting all night for me at best buy. I hope you're hungry...eat up I love u!"
