Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle is on course to have the biggest-selling album of the year after selling 134,000 copies of her debut on its first day of release.

The 48-year-old Scot is expected to sell almost 400,000 copies of I Dreamed A Dream this week, and it would take a miracle to stop it topping the charts this Sunday.

The Daily Mail reports that her closest rivals so far are X Factor runners-up JLS, who have sold 28,260 copies of their debut album so far this week.

Leona Lewis and Queen (with their Greatest Hits) are in third and fourth spots respectively - making it a one, two, three for Simon Cowell's Syco Music, which is a branch of Sony.

Susan is also expected to do tremendously well in the US, where her album is thought to be the most pre-ordered disc in history.
