'Breakdown' fears for SuBo in New York

As she rockets to the top of the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, there are fears that it might all be getting a bit too much for Susan Boyle again.

The Britain's Got Talent star is currently in America promoting her debut album I Dreamed A Dream, and has been met by crowds of fans at all of her appearances.

But after a triumphant performance on NBC's Today at the Rockefeller Centre in New York, she was spotted sitting motionless with her thumb in her mouth and then sobbing while surrounded by eager fans.

The pictures have led observers to worry about a repeat of the breakdown the 48-year-old Scot suffered after her defeat by Diversity in the final of Britain's Got Talent earlier this year.

And it is feared the hectic schedule and massive attention may be taking its toll on the spinster.

She was mobbed by fans holding banners and waving Scottish flags when she arrived in New York on Sunday, and her minders had to separate the crowd to get her to a waiting limousine.

I think 'subo' is lovely, and her voice is a dream to listen to, i love this album and will look forward to any further albums she might make. Why isn't someone watching over her, to try to stop the little lapses into her childhood when she gets nervous. From nowhere to International Stardom must be mind blowing for anyone, let alone a person of that age that has led a very sheltered life. Look after her a bit more and make sure she always has a companion that can give her some advise.

I hope a lot of people will agree with me that 'subo' should be very carefully chaperoned in future and to allow enough time for her to be relaxed and aware of what is expected of her

Surely Susan has someone travelling with her?
Totally irresponsible of the music industry if not. But then at the end of the day it is all about money, not people. If she can sell records, then I dont suppose the industry really cares. Pity. I hope she manages to get through and return to her less stressful life in Scotland unscathed.

just hope the music industry see susan as a person with a magic voice so lovely to listen to and not just how much money they can make from her please please will some one stand up to protect her she is very fragile and its very rare we hear such a lovely voice with an innocence of rotten money grabbers let the world hear and enjoy her singing

I to absolutely abhor the word 'spinster'. It seems an incredibly out of date word making it sound like there's something wrong with being single. Like the word 'bachelor' as well.
Actually, I hate SuBo as well. Why? it's another example of the dumbing down that's going on in our media; She's Susan Boyle ffs! Like 'Jedward' that I hate anyway, if this trend continues, we'll al soon be talking in initials only before long.

May i just say one thing?..Susan is my wifes anutie she is home fine and loving every bit of her fame the reason for the tears is that she is overcome by the love that her true fans and loving family have giving her.

Subo must have had a lot of undiagnosed special needs promlems ... and called just about everything since,but I would say to those did...she had the last laugh!! no wonder she can relax and go back in time (perhaps we should all do it ! ! Good on you Susan ,what ever happens now you have nothing more to prove
