It's so annoying how Christmas seems to start earlier and earlier every year, but it's usually supermarkets selling mince pies in October that are the worst offenders rather than celebs.

But now pop star Rihanna's got in on the act - popping out (almost literally) to her album launch looking like a fashion-forward sexy Santa a full month before Christmas Day.

The 21-year-old was wearing a tight red dress that looked like it could flap open at the front at any moment - like some sort of sexy advent calendar - and appeared to have tinsel and decorations hanging from her shoulders.

And she kept the festive theme going with some gilt-trimmed stockings as well, but in true celeb style she kept her sunglasses on - even though it was dark.

Her party, at hip NY nitespot Juliet, was attended by music megastars like P Diddy and Jay Z - who probably dressed much more appropiately for the weather in November.
